Manchester United - PSG 2: 2: United left the last round of the Champions League in the Champions League

Paul Pogba sent late after a second yellow card, which means he will miss the second leg in Paris

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lost as Manchester United coach for the first time as Saint-Germain dropped out of their 2-0 victory in the Champions League first knockout round at Old Trafford. Paul Pogba left.

After a heated first half, the visitors were in hospital with two quick targets. The first Presel Kimpembe returned at the far post of Angel Di Maria (53) before Kylian Mbappe finished another Di Maria Assist (60) and United set a big task.

For David de Gea it would have been more than just a goalkeeper, but when Pogba was too late for a second yellow card, the situation got worse. That means he will miss the second leg.

United scored only one goal as Solskjaer remained unbeaten in the opening eleven games, posting a promotion on Wednesday 6th at the Parc des Princes.

There were five yellow cards in a fiery first 45 minutes, as both sides picked each other up, but the best chances came to the visitors. Di Maria's former midfielder, Di Maria, had ruffled early from a distance before Mbappe came in on pressure from De Gea after being played by Julian Draxler.

After a yellow card, Young Di Maria poked out of the game and into the railing of Old Trafford, which annoyed the PSG players. But Italian referee Daniele Orsato had his second yellow card in his pocket.

Solksjaer's plans were affected when Jesse Lingard paused shortly before the break and Anthony Martial was injured during the break. Juan Mata and Alexis Sanchez were introduced. De Gea, however, was best to divert Mbappe's header from PSG's opener.

Kimpembe came at the end of a Di-Maria curve and lost Nemanja Matic at the back post before he came into the net from close range.

A minute later, Dani Alves fended off Pogba's performance and was rooted in De Gea, but PSG got their second goal as they parted with Di Maria on the left, concentrating on Mbappe after defeating Eric Bailly for the ball

It would have had to be three, but De Gea's hooves could not escape Mbappe when the Frenchman made another one-on-one talks and the goalkeeper held the game low again and unbalanced Juan Bernat's sharp angle shot.

There was a late flash point when Pogba of Card-happy Orsato, who showed a total of 10 yellows, was sent off for a second booking. This means that United will miss a key player for the second leg in three weeks.
